Annie
Albertson obtained her Juris
Doctor from Northwestern
University School of Law in
2003, where she was one of the
earliest staff editors of the
Journal for International
Human Rights, and was selected
as a Public Interest Law
Initiative Fellow. She earned
her Bachelor of Arts degree in
American Studies, with Honors,
from Stanford University in
2000.
After law
school, Annie joined the
Chicago office of Sonnenschein
Nath & Rosenthal LLP (now SNR
Denton), where she guided
clients in creating and
maintaining brand recognition
and value through trademark
clearance and prosecution,
portfolio management,
transactions and litigation.
Annie subsequently joined the
Chicago IP boutique law firm,
Pattishall McAuliffe Newbury
Hilliard & Geraldson LLP,
where she practiced trademark
and copyright availability
clearance, prosecution,
enforcement and litigation.
She also counseled clients on
Internet domain name
protection, acquisitions and
disputes. Annie also handled
trademark cancellation and
opposition proceedings, and
trademark litigation in
federal courts.
Following
Pattishall, Annie spent one
year in Germany as a recipient
of the prestigious Robert
Bosch Foundation Fellowship.
Her Fellowship included time
at the German Federal Ministry
of Justice in Berlin, and at
Bardehle Pagenberg Dost
Altenburg Geissler in Munich,
a leading German IP law firm.
Annie
then returned to the U.S. and
joined the Los Angeles office
of Latham & Watkins LLP. At
Latham, Annie handled complex
commercial, antitrust and IP
litigation. Annie then left
Latham and joined Buchalter
Nemer, where she advised
clients in the apparel
industry on global trademark
portfolio management,
availability clearance and
prosecution, licensing, and
the IP aspects of mergers and
acquisitions.
Annie
joined Montage Legal Group in
late 2011. Her professional
affiliations include the
International Trademark
Association, the National
Association of Women Business
Owners, the Stanford
Professional Women of Los
Angeles and the Women Lawyers
Association of Los Angeles. |
