Mary Mock
obtained her J.D. from the
University of Michigan Law
School in 2007. She earned her
Bachelor of Arts degree from
Wellesley College in Cognitive
Science, with a minor in
Economics. Prior to attending
law school, Mary lived in
Boston where she pursued her
interest in cognitive science
by conducting neurology
research at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Harvard
Medical School.
After
graduating from law school,
Mary practiced general civil
litigation at Caldwell,
Kennedy & Porter – the leading
firm in Southern California’s
High Desert region. While
there, she represented local
banks, contractors and
subcontractors, employees, and
other individuals with varying
legal needs. At Caldwell,
Kennedy & Porter, Mary drafted
motions, attended mediations,
made numerous court
appearances, and took and
defended depositions.
Mary
subsequently joined Musick
Peeler in Los Angeles. At
Musick Peeler, Mary handled
cases involving insurance
coverage and rescission,
complex construction defect
actions, bad faith actions,
and the general defense of
tort and employment actions.
At Musick Peeler, Mary's
motion practice included
motions for summary judgment,
federal motions to dismiss,
arbitration-related motions,
and Ninth Circuit briefs.
In 2011
Mary relocated to San
Francisco. Mary joined
Montage Legal Group as a
freelance attorney in late
2011. When she’s not working
hard for her clients, Mary
enjoys movies, television,
reading, traveling (especially
cruises), exploring the Bay
Area, and volleyball. |
